By Jimmie Kairu
Thika United finalized on there pre-season friendly with a six nil win over marakua FC of Mwea at the Mwea stadium today.
It took a slight mistake in the midfield that caused the hosts to open up space for the young and talented Francis Kahata who capitalized on an excellent ball beating the defense and putting united on the lead during the first fifteen minutes.
Moments later Robert the new Tanzanian international who is currently on trials playing the midfield came up to secure the second and the third was banked by his fellow countrymen Dutch Roberts before the break.
The second half paved way for the young team to come on board and the energetic Kennedy Otieno was humbled to bank the ball into the net after a great ball brought into the net by Barrack Odhiambo.
Minutes later a shot from the former kakamega high school youngster ensured that the ball hit behind the net forcing the home fans cheer with great jubilation for united.
In addition Mid fielder Francis Chege proved to be in his best form ever playing in the midfield unit covering the area and executing conscious attacks by providing the ball into the area countless times.
When Chege became a threat a defender was forced to tackle him 5 yards from the box a move that led to the center referee to blow his whistle and Kulecho yet again directed the shot on to the goal and he got it right.
The center referee blew off the whistle making it a yet great pre season friendly that was focused to build the team and ensure that it stays strong.
