Club Secretary And Team Manager Off to Machakos

Thika United team Secretary Mike Muriuki and Team Manager John Irungu set off for the National Secondary Schools ball games that kicked off early this week in Machakos.
The week long event sponsored by Uniteds official sponsor Brookside Dairy started on Tuesday and is set to run till Saturday.
Team manager John Irungu was very keen, and said that the scouting would be a challenge for most students exhibit great potential that is required and easy to nurture.
He added that once they identify the players, they will be brought I and coach Juma will work with them to improve their tactical and technical skills that will enable them to play professional football.
The exercise has been part of Uniteds mission and has produced the likes of Denis Omino who plays for the National Team and also Francis Chege who plays at The Nationals under 20 team.
Others who have been selected through the same criteria are the likes of Stephen Waroro, Stephen Ocholla and Francis Kahata the under 17 international.
Mike Muriuki said that through raising young talents from the grass roots to the professional level is what Thika United and Brookside Dairy are aimed for in such a great exercise and tanked the sponsors for creating such a great platform.
